Serving the Kingdom

By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another. John 13:35

Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. James 2:15-17

Part of our role as salt and light is to serve God's kingdom. That means being good stewards of the material resources He has given us and serving His children. While we are certainly called to love and serve non-believers in order to advance God's kingdom, the Bible places special emphasis on serving our brothers and sisters.

While Salt and Light is a primarily evangelistic campaign, we do not want to neglect our role to serve God's kingdom. Some of the practical activities of Salt and Light in the City do this through town clean-up, medical clinics, dental clinics, etc. In addition, the future projects of Salt and Light missionary training school and mission agency seek to serve churches by growing and preparing leaders and sending missionaries to support local churches.
