Salt and Light in the city 2006

Salt and Light ran from July 8^th-16^th, and was an amazing experience for everyone involved. God blessed us with warm, sunny weather and protected us from any major accidents. He was faithful in answering hundreds of our prayers. The teams arrived safely in Hunedoara, were a great blessing to us, and arrived safely back to their respective homes across America, France, Switzerland, and many parts of Romania.

Beginning on Monday, the mornings and afternoons were filled with various forms of evangelism. Children had five days of VBS, where they studied the life of Daniel and had a great time playing games, learning Bible stories, and making new friends from around the world. Nearly 500 children came throughout the week!

Also in the morning a team of Swiss youth and some Romanians joined together to do evangelism in the town, complete with choreography, skits, and a presentation of the gospel. In the afternoons, the same team plus many other volunteers from American and Romania went throughout the town and picked up trash. During this city clean-up, evangelism teams went out into the city distributing tracts and talking to people about Christ.

Every afternoon, a team of French volunteers and some of our local Christian youth joined together and held special evangelism activities for the local Roma population. They had a special children's program, where each day the kids had a Bible lessons, crafts, sports, and prayer time. Later in the evening, they also had evangelism for adults where several people made decisions to follow Jesus.
